Really great week this week! Spanned some long term planning and digging into software - found a bug in how nvidia’s warp sim handles our multibody sims which was bogging down the GPU a lot. Made a workaround and got a 15x speedup to the physim for free, which is awesome. Sims that used to take over 8 hours now take about 30 min, and can support many more bodies. Also got our solid elements test print with the QR, which looks pretty good. Will need to make some tweaks in dispatch to control it a bit more granularly in the future, but good enough for now. Had some great conversations with friends and investors about the opportunity cost of our current strategy of perusing medical alongside space, and possibly letting someone else beat us to the punch of claiming the next generation of spacesuits. Also got back some more test prints, and realized that we can manufacture much more cheaply than I thought we could if we had our own printer - turns out the one we’ve been using at cost is just crazy inefficient.
